Duck eggs and snow!

Well, well, well, how bizarre! I was woken last night by a duck making a noise on the roof of my boat. Even Simba had a little bark before we both dropped off to sleep again and thought little more of it. A sharp frost greeted the morning and the ice scrapers were back out on the windscreens again. This afternoon it snowed and tomorrow morning is forecast to be even colder!! In readiness for the temperature drop this evening, I went out to re-fill my coal bucket. I tipped the coals out of the sack on my roof and into the coal bucket, only to discover a large oval duck egg tumbling out amongst the coals! Now I know what the noise was last night!!
